Jennifer Lopez Visits Holy Places in Jerusalem While on Tour
Jennifer Lopez was spotted visiting holy places around Jerusalem with her family.
The singer who is currently on her “It’s My Party Tour,” made several stops across Jerusalem with her fiancé, Alex Rodriguez, and their children.
The couple was spotted enjoying local sights such as Jerusalem’s Western Wall. In the video, Lopez can be seen with her eleven-year-old daughter, Emme Muniz leaning against the wall as they engage in a moment of prayer.
Lopez also took the time to share with fans the emotional moment, in which she captioned:
“Reconnecting with faith and family at the Via Dolorosa and the church of the holy sepulcher … #family #love #itsmypartytour SWIPE to see some beautiful pictures of our family outing.”
This is Lopez’s first time in Israel. Not only did she and her family enjoy visiting holy sites, they also explored the city while riding on camels. While posing with Rodriguez she cheekily captions the moment:
“Oh just riding a camel on a Saturday afternoon...”
Rodriguez, who was also in Jerusalem for the first time, took to Instagram to share his experience, saying: “Jerusalem, you are unforgettable. What a perfect finale to our first trip to this beautiful land.”
Lopez’s trip comes at the heels of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement. The BDS movement is a Palestinian led counter-campaign against the government.
Like many international performers, Lopez faced pressure to cancel her show, in support of BDS. However, her manager, Benny Medina announced on Israel’s Channel 12 that she would be performing. He told the media outlet:
“There was nothing that was going to stop us from being in Israel.”
Lopez performed at the Tel Aviv to an audience of fifty thousand people. Rodriguez and their children were also in the audience to watch her performance.
