Miranda Lambert Jokingly Responds to a Comment Saying Her Marriage to Brendan McLoughlin 'Won't Last'

Miranda Lambert poked fun at a troll who commented on her recent Instagram post and said her marriage to Brendan McLoughlin “won’t last.”

Country music star, Miranda Lambert, had the perfect response to an internet troll who left a comment on her video eating a tasty buttermilk fried chicken meal with her husband and bluntly said her recent marriage “won’t last.”

“Sure won’t! I’m gonna eat every piece of it! Can’t waste chicken!” Lambert wittingly clapped back.

The post, shared on Sunday, included two videos: one of her husband, Brendan McLoughlin, frying chicken and another "boomerang" of the singer holding up the cooked buttermilk chicken.

“I’m sweet tea sippin’ on the front porch sittin’ while my hubby fried chicken and I’m pickin’ these straaangs,” read her caption, quoted from her single, “Locomotive.”

Many others commented positively on the post, expressing their shared happiness over the singer's married life. One comment read:

“You and your hubby enjoying life! Good job Miranda… I am seriously happy for you. You look so happy, cute and amazing!”

“That’s awesome. So happy you found your happiness,” another said. “Gbu love your music it brings so much strength and joy.”

The “Pistol Annies” singer opened up about her former marriage through her songs, which revealed the choice to separate took her by surprise.

Lambert and McLoughlin tied the knot on January 26, 2019, but waited until three weeks after to publicly announce their union. The country star shared the news on her Instagram account, where she posted a photo from their big day.

McLoughlin, a 24-year-old police officer at the New York Police Department, met the singer in November 2018, during her appearance on “Good Morning America.”

His job mostly involves managing concert crowds, which was a probable reason why he was assigned in the area the day they met.

Before McLoughlin, Lambert was married to fellow country music singer, Blake Shelton. Their marriage ended in a messy divorce in 2015, four years after being together.

The “Pistol Annies” singer opened up about her former marriage through her songs, which revealed the choice to separate took her by surprise.

"If you want to hear my side of the story or my opinion of what happened, it’s all on there. There’s no mystery anymore — take from it what you will. I was like, ‘let’s feel it all.’ I was ready to have the days where I can’t even stand up and the days where I’m celebrating,” she said.
