SHE WOULD HAVE HAD MORE CHILDREN

Halle opened up about her missed opportunities in an article on In Style.

One of her candid confessions involved feeling sexiest when she was pregnant. She was 40 when she first became a mom. Halle admitted motherhood made her a better person because there was someone who “would always be counting on me.”

More often than not, the actress has tried to keep a low profile when it comes to her children whose faces only appeared on her Instagram for the first time last year.

She also said that, if not for her age, she would have had more children.

“I loved being pregnant. Had I started earlier, I probably would have had five children.”

SHE WOULD HAVE BEEN THE "PERFECT SURROGATE"

Apart from having her own children, the 52-year-old was also open to being a surrogate.

“If I hadn’t been busy trying to make movies, I would have been the perfect surrogate,” she claimed. "All the hormones made me feel amazing. I was so alive with my purpose and my femininity. It felt like my body was doing what it was built to do.”

“I don’t want to be the mom who’s crying because her kids left. I want to be the mom who says, “Yes, girl, go fly. Go do you, do your life.”

SHE ISN'T A SUPERSTAR TO HER CHILDREN

But that wasn’t the path she eventually took. Instead, she tried to be the best mom to her two kids, Nahla Aubry, 11, and Maceo Martinez, 5 who aren’t fully aware of their mom’s superstar status. In fact, Halle recalled her son referring to her by her full name in public without knowing why the people around had a funny reaction.

“For the last year, my son has been saying my full name really loudly in public like, ‘Halle Berry, can you pass me the ketchup?’ It’s just so embarrassing! [laughs] He knows it gets a reaction from people, but he can’t quite figure out why.”

SHE JUST WANTS TO BE A "GOOD MOM" TO THEM

But that’s not something Halle would concern herself about. Her only real wish for her children is to see her as a “good mom” who doesn’t necessarily do everything right and is far from perfect. The award-winning actress adds that she intends to be very supportive of them when they’ve grown and are living their own lives.

“I don’t want to be the mom who’s crying because her kids left. I want to be the mom who says, “Yes, girl, go fly. Go do you, do your life.”

SHE ALSO TRIES TO PROTECT THEM FROM THE PUBLIC EYE

Halle's children are a product of her relationships with model Gabrielle Aubry and her ex-husband, Olivier Marrtinez. More often than not, the actress has tried to keep a low profile when it comes to her children whose faces only appeared on her Instagram for the first time last year. The protective mom explained it took her a while to share them to the world because she wanted to keep their identities private as children. Halle later changed her stance realizing her fans and followers deserved to be included in her family life. So to compromise she shared half of her son's face.
