Hoda Kotb's Daughter Sings 'Happy Birthday' & Blows out Candles on 'Mom' Cake in New Video
Hoda Kotb has added another year, and for the celebration, her daughter, Haley Joy, sang "Happy Birthday" song for her and helped in blowing out the candles on mom's cake.
Hoda Kotb of the "Today" show just turned 55, and to celebrate, she got a white, green, and yellow designed cake, that had the word "Mom" written on top.
HALEY JOY SANG THE BIRTHDAY SONG
In an Instagram post that had two heart-shaped emojis as the caption, the TV host shared photos and videos from her special day. In it, her daughter, Haley Joy, sang "Happy Birthday" and joined her in blowing off the five candles placed on the cake.
The post was so endearing that fellow celebs took to the comment section to gush about Haley Joy, and send birthday congratulations to the TV personality.
Katie Couric wrote,
"She is so cute. "
While Meghan Trainor could not get enough of the little girl's adorable smile.
KOTB AND HALEY SPENT HER LAST BIRTHDAY TOGETHER
The little girl was equally all shades of adorable when Kotb turned 54 last year. In a photo post by the broadcaster at the time, mother and daughter shared a hug, with the then 17-month-old child wearing a two-piece swimsuit.
The mother-daughter duo has shared and made a lot of memories together since the TV host adopted Haley in February 2017. She once described the little girl as her "Dream come through," and she got to add to that dream by giving the 2-year-old child, a sister.
HALEY IS A BIG SISTER TO KOTB'S SECOND CHILD
Kotb and her partner, Joel Schiffman, in May, adopted another newborn daughter, Hope Catherine, bringing their family-of-three to four. The "Today" co-host has been on maternity leave since then, enjoying seeing Haley being a big sister and bonding with the new baby.
At a recent stop at "Today," the mum-of-two said she is taking more time away from work than intended because she wants to share and cherish the early days of her children's lives.
The broadcaster noted that the stage the sisters are in is the most important and matters a lot, so she wants to treasure every moment of it.
These sentiments show that Kotb has come a long way from the woman whose only focus was her career, and to frame it in her words, her life, "Changed," and now, she's "Overcome with joy."
