Jonathan Scott Smiles with Parents in ‘Special’ Place Where They Met over 55 Years Ago
A family getaway in the woods is great place to unwind. But it could also provide inspiration for “Property Brother” star, Johnathan Scott.
The television personality took a trip down memory lane with his parents, Joanne Scott and Jim Scott. During a recent trip with his family Johnathan shared the significance of the location they had chosen to set up camp:
“There’s nothing more precious than the moments we get to spend with the ones we love. Mom & Dad met in this special place more than 55 years ago. These last few days are a reminder that sometimes it’s best to ‘unplug’ and enjoy the gifts we have around us.”
The Scott’s have always been a tight-knit family. The picturesque views, campfire and horse riding make for the perfect family getaway.
Some family time will definitely do the heart some good. The past year has had its fair share of ups and downs for the Scott family. JD Scott, the older brother of the “Property Brother” twins has been battling a mysterious illness.
Johnathan also experienced a personal setback when he announced that he was splitting up with his girlfriend of two years, Jacinta Kuznetsov.
However, the family also had reason to celebrate this past year. During a TLC Special episode “Property Brothers: Linda And Drew Say I Do," Drew Scott married his girlfriend, Linda Phan.
While Linda and Drew enjoy newlywed bliss, fans are eagerly watching for signs of a baby announcement.
The family trip appears to be capturing a moment of pleasure. But there could be a little business involved with this getaway. According to House Beautiful, “Property Brothers” have teamed up with their parents to build “Forever Homes.”
“Property Brothers: Forever Home” will be remodeling homes that are already established. Unlike their previous shows, the intention is not to remodel for resale. Instead, the brothers hope to help preserve the homes by giving them a makeover.
The intentions of the trip with his family seem innocent enough. But who knows, a walk down memory lane to where their parents met could help stir up some inspiration for the “Forever Homes” they are working on with their parents.
