Her post comes in the heals of a custody battle with her ex, Djimon Hounsou who allegedly threatened to take their son to Africa.

Kimora Lee Simmons was in good spirits in a photo she recently posted where she’s joined by her children and P. Diddy’s three daughters. The mother-of-four must be delighting in the happy moment having been subjected to a bitter custody battle with Djimon Hounsou in recent days.

THE BATTLE OVER KENZO'S CUSTODY

Kimora was taking a walk in LA last week when court custody papers were served to her. It expressed her ex, Djimon’s intentions to have joint custody of their 10-year-old son, Kenzo.

The actor has been airing out his frustrations over not being able to see his son in the past months. It was further exacerbated when he claimed he didn't get the chance to spend time with him on Father’s Day.

Meanwhile, the 44-year-old model denied keeping Kenzo away from his father and even suggested it was Djimon who lacked an effort to see his child.

With both parties in disagreement, Djimon must have realized it was better to take things to court.

THE THREAT OF LOSING KENZO FOR GOOD

What’s reportedly bothering Kimora lately is Djimon’s alleged threat to take Kenzo with him to Africa and keep him there.

It’s no secret the Benin native traveled with Kenzo last year to his hometown and Kimora did not oppose to this. It’s unclear why he would want their next travel there to have a one-way ticket. Moreover, Djimon is also requesting to be paid child support though he has never done that for Kimora.

According to TMZ, Kimora’s ex, Russell Simmons tried to intervene so the two opposing parents could come to an agreement. He offered for Djimon to take Kenzo for a visit as long as he signs a document agreeing not to take him to Africa. Djimon refused.

With all this happening, Kimora appeared to have vented out her frustration in a poll on her Instagram stories recently encouraging her followers to respond “hell yea” or “no” to her question, “N***s is B***s now huh?

THE HAPPINESS KIMORA DERIVES FROM HER CHILDREN

Fortunately for her, she can also rely on her children for her dose of sunshine during these trying times. Revealing her “happiest place” is with them, Kimora shared a photo of her with her sons Kenzo and Wolfe and Diddy’s daughters, Chance, D’Lila Star, and Jessie James.

She beamed as she held the camera for their selfie snap clearly taking in all the happiness that moment brought her.

While her custody battle remains unresolved, it's good to see Kimora in high spirits especially with the threat of losing her son to Africa looming in her midst.
