KIMORA AND DJIMON'S LOVE STORY

Simmons started dating actor and model Djimon Hounsou in 2007, and in 2008, the besotted couple participated in a traditional Benin commitment ceremony. They welcomed their son Kenzo on May 30, 2009, but ended up splitting in 2012.

DJIMON'S IS VERY CLOSE TO HIS SON

The actor, who has been nominated for two Academy Awards and won many accolades for his work in cinema, is a dedicated father and has made sure that his son maintains his cultural connection to his native Benin.

Even though he is obviously hurt and missing his son, Hounsou has never bad-mouthed Simmons and has simply appealed to be allowed to see Kenzo more often.

KENZO LOVES SUPERHEROES

Kenzo just loves superheroes, and that's no surprise since his dad Djimon Housoun has starred in several superhero movies in the Marvel and DC universes.

But Kenzo's favorite movie is "Black Panther." The little boy had once told his father he wished he was light-skinned so he could be a super-hero, and now he can be Black Panther!

As a special surprise, his parents had all of Kenzo's favorite superheroes at his 9th birthday party: Wonder Woman, Captain America, Spiderman, and of course, Black Panther.
