"TRUE KINGS DON'T DIE"

Beyonce shared a powerful message on her Instagram to commemorate the slain rapper’s birthday. Imposed over a black-and-white photo of Hussle were the words, “The marathon will be televised for N.I.P. ’cause true kings don’t die, we multiply, peace.”

The 37-year-old superstar added, “Happy birthday in paradise,” and revealed in her caption that she and Hussle were working on “some art” that she shared in her Instagram story.

"MY BELOVED KING"

Hussle would have turned 34 on August 15 if not for his tragic shooting back in March. He was gunned down outside his Marathon clothing store in Los Angeles.

Stars mourned his death and now continue to celebrate him on his birthday with special tributes. His girlfriend, Lauren London did so by sharing a slide show of photos and honoring him as “king."

“We are to live in our highest vibrations today because that is how Nip lived his life,” the mother of Hussle's two-year-old son wrote. “We should encourage and inspire today because that is how Hussle lived his life. Today we should love and give truth because that is how he lived his life. His purpose still lives on with us all.”

“He was a powerful strong magical soul,” she continued. “Today is the day we lift up. Long live my other half. My beloved king. Ermias Nip Hussle The Great! I miss you. I love you. Still here holding it UP!”

“We’ve all faced trauma and dealt wit death our whole lives but for some reason yours hit different... Even still we stand solid,” he expressed.“You left an undeniable legacy behind for all of us to use as a blueprint to success. With love and respect we represent & salute you daily!!!”

It’s clear that it will take a while for Hussle’s death to clearly sink in and for the memory of him not to cause any pain. Wherever he is, we too wish him a happy birthday.
