On August 19, Loni Love revealed that she was taking a break from drinking alcohol until the 6th season premiere of her daytime talk show "The Real," asking everyone to pray for her as she did this.
The 48-year-old comedian announced that she was taking a quick break from alcohol until the premiere of "The Real" season 6, which is scheduled to return on September 16.
While it doesn't seem like a long time, this is a feat for Loni, who has a lot more free time in her hands in the next couple of weeks thanks to the quick break they have before filming their new season.
Her decision to take a break from alcohol is all thanks to her commitment to living a healthier lifestyle, after enlisting in the Weight Watchers program.
At first, her personalized plans were altered so that she can still enjoy her favorite food and drinks, which included pasta and alcohol.
“I love pasta [laughs]. I love me some pasta, girl. My plan with my numbers, if I do it right, I can have me some pasta, have me a little glass of wine and I’m still on track. I’m like, wow, it’s so refreshing. Plus, once I was announced as ambassador, Oprah Winfrey posted it on her IG. She basically said, save up your points for some tequila shots. I’m like, yes! I can still have my shots? I’m like, OK. Alright. I’m sold,” she shared.
Loni's progress is evident in all her posts on social media, which show the drastic weight loss she's had in the past couple of months. Love has been going from event to event, taping to taping looking her best, all thanks to the boost of confidence that came with her new figure.
