On August 8, actor Michael Douglas took to social media to wish someone special a happy birthday. The actor’s son was turning 19 and Michael made sure to write a heartfelt note in celebration.
Dylan’s mother, actress Catherine Zeta-Jones, 49, also noted the special day on social media. She shared a rare black and white collage of fun throwback photos of their son.
The images showed Dylan when he was younger making funny faces, jumping off a cliff, playing guitar, and posing seriously for the camera. Michael captioned his post writing:
“Happy 19th birthday Dylan!!! Mom and I are so proud of you and we cannot wait to celebrate! Love, Dad.”
Zeta-Jones captioned her post writing: “Happy 19th Birthday Dylan!!!!! You are the joy of my life. I love you more than words can say.” Dylan also appeared again on Sunday in a family photo with his half-brother Cameron Douglas, 40.
The image showed the entire Douglas family including Dylan’s parents. His sister, Carys Zeta Douglas, 16, also appeared in the picture with their grandfather, Kirk Douglas, 102, and step-grandmother, Anne Douglas, 100.
The photo was posted by Cameron who is Michael’s son from his marriage to Diandra Luker. He attended with his girlfriend, Viviane Thibes, and their daughter, Lua, 1.
The family image was taken at a lunch held at Michael’s home. Kelsey Douglas, 24, Michael' niece also shared a few photos from the gathering.
The actor’s brother, Peter Douglas, 63, was in attendance with his wife Lisa Schoeder, and their two children Kelsey and Jason, 16. When Michael isn’t attending family gatherings or posting about his son, he’s acting on Netflix's “The Kominsky Method.”
The show, that earned the actor a Golden Globe, will return for a second season on October 25. Zeta-Jones is also working and recently starred on Facebook Watch's “Queen America.”
Kirk's son Joel, 72, also featured in the family picture which was captioned: "#FamilyFirst.” The oldest Douglas will be turning 103 in December.
Kelsey’s brothers Tyler, 23, and Ryan, 19, were missing at the gathering.
