Amy Duggar Reportedly Speaks out after Group Baby Bump Photo Received Backlash over Insensitivity for Joy-Anna's Miscarriage

Amy Duggar received that kind of criticism from her fans after she posted a picture of herself and her cousins’ baby bumps, but has now come forward to issue a strong response to the critics.

The world of social media can turn nasty at any point in time, and celebrities are not immune to backlash from their fans. Reality television star, Amy Duggar did not take kindly to some of the negative reactions that trailed a photo she shared on her Instagram page showing her and four of her cousins’ baby bumps. The star issued a response via her Instagram story.

AMY’S PHOTO THAT STARTED IT ALL

The “Counting On” star shared a baby bump picture of herself, and cousins, Lauren, Abbie, Anna, and Kendra. In the photo, the four expectant mothers smiled at the camera, while clutching their developing bumps.

In her caption, Amy used four pink heart emojis and a blue heart emoji to represent the sex of the babies in the womb.

REACTIONS TO THE POST

Amy’s fans and followers reacted to the post via likes and comments. Many of those who commented on the post expressed joy and happiness for the expectant mothers, but there were some who didn’t appreciate the photo as they believed it was insensitive and disrespectful to another of Amy’s cousin, Joy-Anna Forsyth who announced that she and her husband had lost their pregnancy (a girl) of 20 weeks.

Some of those who commented said that they couldn’t help but feel the pain in Joy’s heart when she sees the photo, while some said that she should have been in the picture.

AMY RESPONDS TO CRITICS

Following some of the negative comments to her post, the star offered a swift response on her Instagram Story.

In the response, she said that she would delete any mean, crude comment regarding people in her photos. She then advised the critics to appreciate the post for what it was. In another Instagram story post, Amy said that children are a blessing from God.

Early last month, Joy-Anna Forsyth (Duggar), 21 made an emotional post on Instagram, in which she and her husband held their stillborn baby in a hospital bed.

In her caption, she said that God had given them the child and that they were thankful for having her, even if it was only for a short time. She also thanked her followers for their love, prayers, and support. They made another post a week after that, in which they revealed that the baby was a girl and that they had named her Annabell Elise.

Joy and her husband, Austin Forsyth have a son, Gideon together. May they continue to find the strength to bear the sad loss.
