Madonna Posts Cute Snap of Adopted Twin Daughters Dressed as Mermaids after Their 7th Birthday Bash
Famous American singer, Madonna is a proud mother as she takes to social media to share an update on her twin daughters.
Madonna Louise Ciccone is a lot of things; a singer, songwriter, actress, and businesswoman, but most of all she is a doting mother. She recently took to her Instagram page to post a series of photos which feature her adopted twin daughters, Esther and Stella, dressed in colorful mermaid costumes.
"The After Party........... #birthday #twins #estere #stella," Madonna captioned the post.
The post garnered a lot of positive comments from fans and well-wishers as they gushed about how beautiful the girls looked.
"U cutie pies you! Your mommy is the coolest mermom ever! No wonder u two are so beautiful," a fan wrote.
"The most beautiful Sirens," another declared.
The post comes shortly after the girls celebrated their seventh birthday with a splendid birthday party. Madonna seemingly spared no expense for the lavish pool party which had red balloons and inflated rings with ladybug printed on it.
The twins also appeared excited and happy dressed in the superhero costume of their favorite cartoon characters, Ladybug and Cat Noir. Their birthday cake was also themed after the heroes.
The 61-year-old singer has had her hands full with promoting her latest album "Madame X" which was released last month. However, she spent a good part of July in a leisure break with four of her six children.
The singer's Madame X tour was initially slated to kick off September 12, when asked why she delayed the tour, Madonna said it was taking longer to create the "magical musical experience" she promised her fans.
Along with the twins, two other children, David Banda and Mercy James, are adopted while the last two, Lourdes Maria Ciccone Leon and Rocco Ritchie, are her biological kids. Her biological daughter, Lourdes Maria Ciccone Leon, is the product of her union with Carlos Leon while Rocco Ritchie is the product of her union with ex-husband Guy Ritchie.
In an interview with PEOPLE, Madonna revealed what attracted her to the kids she adopted:
"It's inexplicable, it's like saying, Why do you fall in love with the people you fall in love with? You look into the eyes of somebody, you feel their soul, you feel touched by them — that's it," she said.
The music icon also reportedly revealed that her children respond differently to her status as a celebrity;
"The older ones could care less, and the younger ones, they think it's funny, today my 6-year-old twins said to me, "Mom, everyone's always asking us if Madonna's our mother. And we tell them, No, Madame X is our mother," she stated proudly.
The Madame X album by Madonna will be her 14th studio album since she began her musical career in the 80s.
