"DON'T GET MAD RIHANNA"

The body-positive singer was ecstatic to reveal that she received a DM from the Fenty Beauty boss praising her epic performance.

“She DM’ed me to tell me that I performed good,” the “Truth Hurts” singer told Entertainment Tonight’s Keltie Knight.

"She said I [expletive] the stage like it was my side [expletive]. Don't get mad, Rihanna. I am not trying to blow up your spot, but that was a hard [expletive] line! I might take that line."

The 31-year-old’s powerful performance had the audience on their feet and the likes of Queen Latifah clapping and cheering her on.

This isn’t the first time Lizzo earned approval from the “Diamonds” singer. At the BET Awards where she also delivered a stellar performance, Rihanna was among those in the audience who gestured her appreciation. Lizzo couldn’t help but mark the moment on Twitter sharing a photo of the A-list singer pointing at her from the crowd.

BOLD AND BRIGHT IN YELLOW

Meanwhile, Lizzo’s show-stopping performance at the VMA’s in New Jersey saw her ditching her floor length-trench coat and exposing her curvaceous plus-size body wearing a bright yellow leotard. She belted out her songs, “Truth Hurts,” and “Good as Hell” as dancers in risqué outfits gyrated in front of a giant inflatable butt.

The 31-year-old’s powerful performance had the audience on their feet and the likes of Queen Latifah clapping and cheering her on.

“When people look at my body and be like, ‘Oh my God, she’s so brave,’ it’s like, ‘No I’m not, I’m just fine. I’m just me. I’m just sexy.’ "

Lizzo has been making waves in the mainstream music scene especially after releasing her latest album, “Cuz I Love You” with songs that “feel like instant song-of-the-summer contenders,” according to the Washington Post.

BODY BEAUTIFUL

She has also been drawing attention for her confidence though she hates the idea of being deemed brave just by feeling good about herself. She told Glamour,

“When people look at my body and be like, ‘Oh my God, she’s so brave,’ it’s like, ‘No I’m not, I’m just fine. I’m just me. I’m just sexy.’ If you saw Anne Hathaway in a bikini on a billboard, you wouldn’t call her brave. I just think there’s a double standard when it comes to women.”

Lizzo wants people to get rid of the shock learning she celebrates her own body. As far as she’s concerned, she sees herself as beautiful and that shouldn’t be a surprise.

HUSTLING WITH JLO

Fans will see more of Lizzo when her film, “Hustlers” hits theaters this month. She certainly appreciates working with no less than Jennifer Lopez in the film. The film newbie expressed her admiration for the singer during her interview with ET after the VMA’s and described her as not just a powerful singer but “a powerful woman, period.”

There’s no denying Lizzo is destined for a brighter future with her career on the upswing, her positive disposition, and celebrities praising her performances.
