Actor Dwayne Johnson Shares Pride over Jasmine for Not Crying after Dropping Petals at His Wedding
Dwayne Johnson's daughter spilled some petals in her excitement to act as a flower girl on her parents' wedding day, and he is proud she didn't breakdown in tears after the mishap.
Jasmine Lia, Dwayne Johnson's 3-year-old daughter, proved she's as tough as her former pro wrestling father, as revealed in his new behind the scenes photo from his secret Hawaiian wedding to Lauren Hashian.
A COOL AND CRITICAL MOMENT
In a photo shared on Johnson's Instagram account, the father and daughter dressed in white, bent down to pick the petals with a smile on the actor's face. In the accompanying caption, he wrote:
"In her excitement and joy of being a flower girl, Jazzy took a spill while walking down the aisle and all the flowers fell out of her basket."
The "Fast and Furious" franchise star continued in a proud tone, saying:
"She didn't cry, and without hesitation, she started picking them up."
Johnson noted it was a "Cool and critical "moment for his little girl to learn some life lessons. He summarized it as:
"You will stumble and fall. We all do but be accountable, get back up, dust yourself off, laugh, and keep going down the road."
PROUD OF HIS LITTLE GIRL'S INSTINCT
The "Scorpion King" star added that he's proud of his little girl's instinct, and revealed at the end that he rewarded Jasmine with the, "Biggest, sugariest, piece of wedding cake."
The petals photo is the one among several that Johnson has shared from his wedding to Hashian. In one of the snaps that showed the little girl throwing petals in the air, the man who is known as "The Rock" from his wrestling days, wrote that his daughter takes her responsibilities as a flower girl seriously.
A WEDDING OF TOTAL PRIVACY
The actor and his singer wife got married in an intimate and private ceremony on August 18. For the occasion, Johnson dressed in an all-white linen outfit from Ralph Lauren, while his bride wore a long white gown with a cutout neckline and train from Mira Zwillinger.
The couple started dating in 2007 after the actor divorced his ex-wife, Dany Garcia. Aside from Jasmine, the two also share a 1-year-old daughter, Tiana, and Johnson has an 18-year-old daughter, Simmone, from his first marriage.
Although the "Hobbs and Shaw" star alluded to having no desire to get married anytime soon last year, he is currently enjoying marital bliss and feeling blessed.
