THE CRASH
The actor’s 1970 Plymouth Barracuda careened off Mullholland Highway around 12:45 of Sunday morning injuring him and actor, Jared Black whose fiancé, Rebecca Broxterman was also with them. Rebecca was not injured.
Police are currently investigating the cause of the accident. They’re suspecting it was a result of excessive speed. Witnesses said tires were heard screeching prior to the impact.
THE FIRST 911 CALL
On Wednesday, police released the audio of a 911 call made by a witness who identified two people on the scene, Jared and Rebecca.
The caller said Jared, who was driving when the accident occurred, was out of the car while Rebecca remained trapped inside. He described them as conscious but that Jared “looks a little hurt.”
Hart had already been retrieved by his security by then and brought to his home for medical attention.
THE SECOND 911 CALL
Meanwhile, a second 911 call was retrieved by the police and it came from Hart’s home. In that call obtained by TMZ, a woman who identified herself as Kevin's wife revealed how bad Kevin was hurt.
She told the operator that the actor had been in an accident and needed immediate help. She also described him as “not coherent at all.”
At that point, the woman revealed Hart “can’t move” and remained unattended by medics. She also implied that his back was injured when she described “something on his back is pointing out of his spine.”
THE AFTERMATH
Police are currently investigating the cause of the accident. They’re suspecting it was a result of excessive speed. Witnesses said tires were heard screeching prior to the impact. Alcohol was ruled out when California Highway Patrol cleared Jared of driving under the influence.
Kevin is expected to remain in Northridge Medical Center for a few more days as he recovers from his successful surgery. Likewise, Jared, who’s recuperating at UCLA Medical Center will be there for a while and is reportedly surrounded by friends and family.
