Meghan Markle Steps out in White Shirt & Black Pants to Launch the Smart Works Capsule Collection

Meghan Markle resumes her official royal duties with the launch of a fashion collection, 'Smart Set', for her patronage, Smart Works.

The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle ends her maternity leave with the launch of a capsule collection for her royal patronage, "Smart Works."

Markle is the royal patron for "Smart Works." The charity helps women prepare for jobs by providing unemployed women with free clothes and training for job interviews. Sharing a speech from the launch it is written:

"When you buy any item in the Smart Set Capsule Collection for Smart Works, the same item will be given to a Smart Works client, and with it, the confidence and support she needs to enter the workforce and take an important step in building a career."

She has partnered with U.K brands Marks & Spencer, Jigsaw, John Lewis & Partners and designer Mischa Nonoo to create a five-piece capsule collection, which will be sold for the next two weeks. For every item purchased, one will be donated to Smart Works.

The line includes a tote bag from John Lewis & Partners, a white shirt from Misha Nonoo, blazer and trousers from Jigsaw, a dress from Marks & Spencer. One of the first items to sell out was the John Lewis tote bag.

On September 12, Markle arrived at the John Lewis store, on Oxford Street to launch the Smart Works capsule collection. She was wearing two pieces from the collection; a £125 white button down shirt by Mischa Nonoo and black slim-fit trousers from Jigsaw, also retailing at £120.

In honor of her mother in-law, Princess Diana, she accessorizes her look with butterfly earrings and gold stacked bracelets. Markle wore the same earrings when she toured Australia with Prince Harry, in October.

According to PEOPLE, the heirloom is from Princess Diana, who wore the butterfly earrings on May 3, 1986, during a trip to Canada. The blue stone, gold bracelets are another heirloom wore by Diana in 1990, at the Lord Gage Centre for Old People, in East London.

It is reported that Markle has purchased all five items from the "Smart Set" collection, for her personal use. It is expected that she will wear the clothes on her upcoming tour to Africa with Prince Harry, on September 23.
