BFV Star Tamar Braxton Wears Nothing but Spanx on 'Wendy Williams Show,' Vows It's the Last Time

Tamar Braxton pulled a shocking move on Wednesday, appearing on the "Wendy Williams Show" in nothing but Spanx. The singer/reality star then explained the reason for her bizarre action.

Braxton, over the years, has been known for her fashionable looks, but this has to be her most jaw-dropping look yet; just ask Wendy Williams.

The talk show host could not hide her surprise as Braxton strutted onto the set in nothing but Spanx and a pair of nude heels. "Where’s your dress?" she asked.

Braxton, 42, then announced that her decision to rock the popular shapewear is to mark the last day she’ll ever wear Spanx. "I’m done," she stressed before adding that:

"Everybody’s talking about Hot Girl Summer. I'm lying, I had a Warm Girl Summer with a filter. I'm not doing that no more, I can't. My stomach is having several seats on my lap. I can't live my life like this. Here’s the thing: I gotta feel physically amazing to be mentally amazing and I’m not there."

Drawing a parallel between her decision to stop wearing shapewear and self-esteem, Braxton said she wanted to feel amazing about herself "no matter what."

"When you don’t feel physically good, your mental [state] is all jacked up. You’re all over the place," Braxton continued. "And I gotta manifest the blessings that God has for me."

The "Love and War" singer said, despite her stylist looking at her earlier in the day like she was crazy, there’s no going back on the lifestyle change.

"I really did tap into myself, and I’ve challenged myself to become my best self. Period," Braxton finished. "I just got tired of stuffing my stomach in my pants. I’m done with that."

Following up to her Wendy Williams' appearance, Braxton told fans via an Instagram video that she "completely let [herself] go" because she’d been through a lot in the past few months.

"I have just been eating and drinking whatever because I felt like I was self-medicating myself," she said before announcing her resolve to embark on a 60-day transformation program.

The singer recently divorced her ex-husband Vince Herbert and seems happy with her current boyfriend, David Adefeso, but there’s nothing like making sure you live your best life.
