Julia Roberts’ First Husband, Country Singer Lyle Lovett and What He’s up to Nowadays

The iconic country singer Lyle Lovett is one of the biggest stars in the country music scene. He continues to deliver sold-out concerts even today.

Currently on a musical tour with his Acoustic Group, the first husband of Hollywood veteran, Julia Roberts, is an inspiring musician and the legend of country music.

With more than 14 successful musical albums to his name, Lovett has ruled the music world for more than three decades.

Lovett is popular for combining various genres from Americana to swing, jazz to folk, and gospel to blues, to create a unique musical experience that breaks conventions.

The multiple Grammy awards winner is still a widely in-demand musician when it comes to filling out concert halls.

Up next, the country star is all set to perform at the Emerson Center for the Arts and Culture, Montana on September 27 and WYO Theater, Wyoming on September 28.

Lovett, accompanied by his Acoustic Group, is scheduled for the tour right until October 20, when he will play at the Corson Auditorium at the Interlochen Center for the Arts, Michigan.

Lovett's last album release came back in 2012, which was titled "Release Me." The album reached 9th position on US Billboard Top Country Albums on the year of its release.

It included some of the popular country numbers including "Garfields's Blackberry Blossom," "White Boy Lost in the Blues," and "Understand You."

HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH ROBERTS

Lovett was married to the Hollywood star, Roberts, for about two years. The pair tied the knot in June 1993 when Lovett was 38 years old and Roberts was just 27 years of age.

They got divorced in 1995 after releasing a joint public statement that claimed:

“We remain close and in great support of each other.”

At the time, the close friends and family members of the duo expressed their shock at their separation. A few of them expressed that Roberts and Lovett looked great together and "really in love."

Lovett got married again in 2017 by tying the knot with longtime partner, April Kimble.

Earlier in March, Lovett revealed in an interview that he was looking to create his latest album toward the end of this year.

He added that he signed a deal with the popular record label, Verve Records, for the release of the album.
