Former DWTS Contestant Christie Brinkley Appears to Slam Wendy Williams by Posting Hospital Pics of Her Arm Injury
In response to Wendy Williams' accusation that she faked her injury on 'Dancing with the Stars,' Christie Brinkley shares pictures proving her arm injury is real.
Just before her debut on season 28 of "Dancing with the Stars," Christie Brinkley injured her arm when she accidently tripped over her partner, Val Chmerkovskiy's leg. Good Morning America announced her departure, explaining:
"EXCLUSIVE ballroom bombshell! @SeaBrinkley is out of @DancingABC before the season begins. She tells @Ginger_Zee about her injury and the moment she called her daughter Sailor to ask her to step in for mom coming up on @GMA! #DWTS"
Responding to the news that Christie was canceling her appearance on the show and would be replaced by her daughter, Sailor Brinkley-Cook, Wendy gives her theory, calling it "fake as hell," she says:
"In my opinion, I think what Christie did was she signed up for Dancing with the Stars knowing that she'd put her daughter Sailor in there."
Initially, Christie went on "The Talk" to respond to Wendy's claims. The supermodel reveals that she was shocked to hear what Wendy had to say because she thought they were on good terms.
Christie admits that she had been there for Wendy to mentor her through her debut on "Chicago" the musical, she also talked her through her divorce drama.
Proving her innocence, she also showed the audience her bruised arm. Taking to Instagram to give more evidence about her injury, Christie says:
"It goes against my better judgement to acknowledge haters and conspiracy theorists but because this involves my precious daughter I'm setting the record straight. It's sad that we live in a time where the truth is not as scintillating as hurtful lies."
Posting a montage of pictures on Instagram showing her arm injury, she also shares pictures of herself in a hospital and at her doctor's office, where she displays an x-ray of her arm. Christie continues explaining her post, she adds:
"lf it was just me I would have let this roll right off my back, but on #nationaldaughtersday I feel it's the perfect opportunity to stand up for truth. Thank you for being such an amazing daughter @sailorbrinkleycook for overcoming your fears to step in I'm so proud of you ! But I STILL want my favorite jeans back!"
