"I had such an amazing time witnessing such a timeless moment. You are an inspiration to the world, to keep dreaming. I'm so proud of you @tylerperry! I love you, and congratulations! ❤️" reads the caption of the post.
In the first picture of the collection, Knight is seen standing on the red carpet, dressed in a long white feather-patterned dress. Holding a purse to match the long dress, she waved her hand and smiled as she posed.
The next picture shows Gladys and her husband, William Mcdowell, rocking dark sunglasses as Mcdowell holds his wife's waist.
The red rose-themed background of the couple's photo makes it more of a sight to behold. The last picture shows the "Midnight Train to Georgia" singer in a zoomed-in image as she flashes a smile.
Many other top acts who also attended the new studio's gala event are Will Smith, Whoopi Goldberg, Spike Lee, etc. The host, Perry, also invited the Georgia Governor, Kemp.
A SUMMARY OF KNIGHT'S RELATIONSHIPS
74-year-old Knight first got married at the age of 16 to James Newmann and they shared two children, but he was addicted to drugs and left his wife and kids four years later.
She remarried in 1979 to Barry Hankerson, but the union ended five years after, and together they have a son. Gladys gave marriage another chance in 1995 but that also lasted only two years.
However, Knight and Mcdowell got married in 2001, and they have a large family of seventeen children and ten great-grandchildren.
KNIGHT AND HER HUSBAND GIVES BACK TO THE COMMUNITY
Atlanta-raised Knight and McDowell, two years ago, were at a fundraising event in Canton, NC to help rebuild a school in William's hometown.
The couple bought the school space at an auction in 2015, for almost a hundred thousand to guide the spirit and pedigree of the area and give it back to the public.
