Famous country singer Miranda Lambert is a woman smitten with love as she takes to social media to pay a sweet birthday tribute to her new police husband, Brendan McLoughlin.
The award-winning country singer shared a picture of herself and hubby McLoughlin on Instagram on Monday. The black and white image features the couple, who tied the knot in a secret ceremony, sharing a warm embrace before the camera.
In the picture, Lambert kept to a country theme by wearing a leather jacket, but very little can be seen of her ensemble thanks to her pose being in a half embrace with McLoughlin, who also kept things simple wearing a striped tee underneath a jacket.
The couple leaned close so that they struck an affectionate pose resting their heads against each other. What makes the picture, however, most special is not the PDA shown but the heartfelt words written to caption it.
As if their love isn't already evident in the snap, Lambert discloses that she is lovestruck as she captioned the picture with a warm shout out to McLoughlin in celebration of his birthday and described him as the one man that "puts stars" in her eyes.
Lambert wrote alongside a couple of emojis fitting for the statement:
"Happy Birthday to the man that puts stars in my eyes. ️#foreverandeveramen."
Going by the reception of the snap, fans sure approve of the heartwarming display. Only hours old, the photo has already amassed well over 140,000 likes and over a thousand comments!
The comments section is lit up with numerous compliments for the beautiful couple as well as birthday wishes for now-29-year-old McLoughlin.
One fan, @purplepenelope2 commented:
"Happy Birthday, and thanks for putting stars in our girl's eyes."
Another such fan, @lmitruska wrote:
"Happiest of birthdays to you! I can see the happiness you bring Miranda, and it makes her fans happy! Cheers."
And yet another, @asherwrght commented:
"Happy birthday!!!!! Love looks good on you two!!!"
Beautiful compliments like these are constant for the couple and seem to show how popular the pair have quickly become since Lambert made the shocking announcement of their marriage in February.
The whirlwind romance has since continued to blossom. The "Tin Man" singer only recently opened up to fans about her relationship with the New York City police officer while performing in Atlantic City during her Roadside Bars & Pink Guitars tour.
Lambert told the crowd that despite singing a "sad" country song, she's found happiness in her life. The singer's affectionate displays for McLoughlin, however, continue to leaves fans in awe and longing for more.
