Loretta Lynn Congratulates Dolly Parton on Another Career Milestone
The legendary country singer, Dolly Parton has been a member of the Grand Ole Opry for fifty years. To celebrate she was given the honor of having an entire 30-minute segment of the two-hour live radio show.
Country singer Dolly Parton has had a long and illustrious career. She has been a member of the Grand Ole Opry for 50 years.
Parton's career has hit a lot of highs recently. She has diversified her career with a Netflix series currently in the works as well as hosting the CMA Awards and many collaborations.

To mark her 50th anniversary as a member of the Grand Ole Opry, she took to the coveted stage to perform a 30-minute set. She sang five of her best songs to reflect her lengthy career in an epic thirty-minute set at the Opry.
She sang “Joshua,” “Jolene,” “My Tennessee Mountain Home,” “Coat of Many Colors” and “Here You Come Again” and also gave a touching tribute to her mentor Porter Wagoner. Her friend Loretta Lynn also took to the social media site, Instagram.
Loretta congratulated her friend with a sweet message and picture writing:
"Congrats to my dear friend, @dollyparton, for celebrating 50 years as a member of the @opry."
She went on to call Dolly her "mountain sister" and added that she was a massive fan of the singer and "love her music and I will always love her."

Parton's impressive achievement and Lynn's post grabbed the attention of fans. Lynn's post was liked by over thirteen thousand fans and they flooded the comments. One wrote:
"Congratulations Dolly! Spectacular picture right there of you and Miss Loretta. Two unique and so very talented ladies. I feel so fortunate to live in the same years as y’all. You have enriched my life beyond words."

Parton, who is married to the reclusive Carl Thomas Dean for over five decades, found fame through "The Porter Wagoner Show." Before she landed the role in the show, she worked as a songwriter.
Since the show, her career has gone from high to high. She has had 25 number 1 songs which is the most number-one songs for any female country artist.

She is also the record holder for the most Top 10 albums on Billboard's country chart with 41 projects making the chart.
