Snoop Dogg's Wife Shante Broadus Celebrates His 48th Birthday with Sweet Photos & Loving Tribute
Snoop Dogg’s wife, Shante Broadus, took a trip down memory lane with adorable photos as she celebrated her husband’s 48th birthday on Sunday.
Snoop and Shante have come a long way in their marriage. The hip-hop couple has overcome many challenges and seems to be in a good space, which is evident from how Shante paid tribute to her man.

On Sunday, October 20, Shante took to Instagram with pictures of their time together, including a throwback shot and another of the lovebirds as Snoop received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

"Happy C Day Doggy Dogg," Shante captioned the post in addition to several blue heart emojis.

Fans in the comment section also extended their best wishes to Snoop, but many couldn’t help gushing over his relationship with Shante.
"HBD what a beautiful couple," an Instagram user commented.
"Yes. That forever ride or die love!" echoed another.
A REAL-LIFE LOVE TALE
According to Heavy.com, Snoop and Shante were high school sweethearts and got together when the rap legend was still just Calvin Broadus Jr.
The pair tied the knot in June 1997, four months after their second child, son Cordell Broadus, was born. Their first child, son Corde Broadus, was born in August 1994.
FILING FOR DIVORCE
By 2004, Snoop and Shante’s marriage hit a rough patch after the "Gin & Juice" rapper filed for divorce. Speaking to MTV many years ago, Snoop implied that the music industry disillusioned him.
"A lot of times, you get cloudy. This music industry is a mother, man, and it’ll take your vision and blur it," he reportedly told the outlet, per Heavy.com.
LUPUS & A REUNION
Before their divorce was finalized, Snoop and Shante’s daughter Cori, born in 1999, was diagnosed with Lupus. The journey to finding a lasting solution to their daughter’s failing health would eventually bring Shante and Snoop back together.
"It’s amazing how this all turned out. We were gonna get a divorce. But we wouldn’t have gotten through it [that way]," Shante told PEOPLE at the time, while her rapper hubby added:
"That’s what it boiled down to. Cori’s lupus showed us we need to be together forever."
"I threw the papers away. I don’t want to get a divorce. So if you hear about a divorce, it’ll be my wife divorcing me; it won’t be me divorcing her," Snoop further revealed. "I made a mistake, so I’m trying to get back right."
Since then, Shante and Snoop have renewed their wedding vows in 2008 and have come to be viewed as "couple goals" by many. Shante continues to support her husband, as she did when he received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame last November.

GRATEFUL SNOOP
Snoop also doesn’t take his wife’s forgiveness for granted and makes that known via social media. Earlier this year, he showed up in the comments section of an Instagram post Shante made about forgiveness and wrote, per MTO News:
"Thank you for forgiving me and understanding me. Love you for life, my backbone."
"You’re welcome," Shante replied.
FOR BETTER OR WORSE
The longtime lovebirds have also held each other up in times of grief, most recently with the death of their ten-day-old grandchild. Corde’s son, Kai Love, passed away on September 25, and the budding rapper took to Instagram with the sad news.
"My Son Kai brought so much love and positivity into this world," Corde penned, via PEOPLE. "His energy will live on, and these 10 days of love will always be special to us. Let’s all cherish life and those we love while we are here. Thank you."
The Broadus clan has been doing their best to move on from the tragedy and even showed up smiling for the premiere of "The Addams Family" earlier this month.
Happy birthday to the legendary Snoop Dogg!
