"Despite his physical challenges, my second eldest brother always strives to remain upbeat. This passage describes him best: 'Let my soul smile through my heart and my heart smile through my eyes, that I may scatter rich smiles in sad hearts.'"

As the second eldest in the Osmond household, Tom has kept a relatively private life away from the entertainment limelight. For over 28 years he has worked for the U.S. Postal service. In a birthday from his son, Matt Osmond shares a birthday message, saying:
"This handsome devil turned 72 today! Happy birthday to my dad. I love you! ?"
Tom, who found a career outside of the music did feature in several of the Osmond family's Christmas specials in the 1970's and 1980's. In an old photo of the two, his younger brother Donny Osmond says:
"Wishing my big brother Tom a #HappyBirthday!? ? Your courage and optimism continue to inspire me daily. I’m grateful to call you my brother."
The Osmond family have been in the music industry for over 60 years. Earlier this month the brother's got together to perform for Marie's 60th birthday, on "The Talk."
Leading up to the show, the family announced that they would be retiring as a group and that their performance on the show would be their last. During the emotional tribute the brothers blew audiences away with their performance.
