Halle Berry Shows off Defined Abs after Training Four Hours a Day in Preparation for Upcoming MMA Movie 'Bruised'

Halle Berry's latest photo of her toned abs just surpassed any other previous photos featuring them. It is a clear testament to her hard work at achieving her fitness goal in preparation for her upcoming mixed martial arts film.

PREPARING FOR A SPECIAL ROLE SHE ALSO DIRECTS

Berry’s photo celebrating #FitnessFriday showcases a work of art she painstakingly achieved for her upcoming film, “Bruised.”

According to the 53-year-old who also directs the film, “There’s no better feeling than setting a goal and smashing it” as she reveals the result of her hard work in preparation for her mixed martial arts role.

On her Instagram story, Berry’s trainer, Mubarak Malik praises the A-list star and hails her “a beast.”

Berry’s defined abs took center stage in the photo she shared. She lifts her shirt to reveal a pack of toned, sweaty abs which she describes as “ripped” in her caption.

“I finally got them, and it feels unbelievable!,” she shares in her excitement.

Berry, who was a gymnast as a teenager is used to preparing rigidly for a role. Earlier this year, she learned jiu-jitsu and how to fire a gun for her participation in “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum.”

HER MESSAGE TO OTHER ASPIRANTS

The actress also uses the moment to encourage her fans to set a goal and work towards it as she did.

“Set the BAR higher than you think, share your goal in the comments and HOLD yourself to it,” she urges. “The work won’t be easy, but that pay off? Worth every damn second,” she adds.

"A BEAST"

On her Instagram story, Berry’s trainer, Mubarak Malik praises the A-list star and hails her “a beast.”

“I know this is Fitness Friday, but let me just tell you that she has been killing it every day,” says Malik as reported by People.

He also reveals the routine Berry adhered to in order to achieve her fitness goal. This includes four hours of training a day, intermittent fasting, and keto.

HER CHALLENGING EXPERIENCE TRAINING FOR ANOTHER FILM

Berry, who was a gymnast as a teenager is used to preparing rigidly for a role. Earlier this year, she learned jiu-jitsu and how to fire a gun for her participation in “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum.”

According to the fit actress, the Keanu Reeves film was her most challenging in terms of pre-production training.

“I knew how hard it was. Just being in it was life-changing. I don’t think I’ve ever worked harder or longer to prepare for a part in a movie,” she admitted while promoting the film.

WHAT FANS CAN EXPECT FROM HER NEW FILM

In “Bruised,” the Oscar winner plays a disgraced MMA fighter who is faced with the challenge of competing with one of the toughest MMA players. She does this to ultimately regain her son she walked out on years ago.

According to Deadline, Berry will be working closely with the same team that choreographed fights for the “John Wick” franchise. There are no known details regarding the film's cast but "John Wick" producer Basil Iwanyk is also on board.
