Kandi Burruss' Mom Joyce Jones Rocks Cinnamon-Hued Afro and Gold Sequin Dress as She Celebrates Her 70th Birthday

Kandi Burruss and her mother, Mama Joyce rocked afro looks in celebration of the latter's 70th birthday. Kandi shared photos from the 70's themed birthday pash and Mama Joyce shined above all.

Kandi Burruss’ mother channeled back to her “roots” as she turned 70.

Kandi threw her mother, Mama Joyce Burruss a 70’s-themed birthday party so it came naturally for the birthday celebrant to show up rocking an afro.

Mama Joyce glittered in gold wearing a bodycon sequined dress as the night shined on her. She spruced up her look donning a red afro wig proving how fun it was to be seven decades old.

To keep with the theme, the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star wore a leopard-print catsuit with a white furry jacket. She also fashioned an afro-inspired hairstyle to finish off the look.

The star of the night also had a change of outfit, opting for a glittering wrap dress when she blew out the candles on her cake. Photos of her changing looks were documented by her daughter on Instagram.

“Happy 70th birthday to my mom @mamajoyce1_!!!! We had the time of our lives last night at her 70s themed party,” Kandi wrote to caption.

She added, “It’s my goal to make her smile like that all year long! Mom, let this next year be the best year & enjoy. I love you! Give my mom some bday love.”

Another set of photos Kandi shared revealed her own look for the affair. To keep with the theme, the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star wore a leopard-print catsuit with a white furry jacket. She also fashioned an afro-inspired hairstyle to finish off the look.

Her husband, Todd Tucker was likewise appropriately dressed wearing high-waist pants with a printed button-down shirt and a white belt.

Even guests paraded in their vintage looks as evident in photos shared by Kandi. It was plain to see how much love Mama Joyce received that night.

But no one showers Mama Joyce with love and affection more than Kandi. She went big last year when she gifted her mother with a brand new car. According to Kandi, it was her mother’s wish to have her own vehicle and the reality star felt blessed to be able to grant her that wish.
