J.Lo’s ‘Queen of Green’ Look Is Explained by Fashion Expert: 'Very Successful Monochrome Outfit'

Iconic singer and actress, Jennifer Lopez stepped out in style as she slammed the city of New York with another of her one-of-a-kind fashion trend, turning heads in her green monochrome look.

Singer, Jlo's excellent fashion sense, has fast become an item, as she is never found wanting in her wardrobe department.

The 50-year-old fashion designer did it once again, sporting a flawless look in an all green, multi-textured ensemble that left tongues wailing.

The entertainment icon and business mogul hit the New York streets dressed in long-sleeved, jade green turtleneck pullover with green furry highlights at the elbows.

The ensemble was worn over similarly colored satin, high-waisted flared pants, and a pair of matching pointy Jimmy Choo shoes.

The monochromatic ensemble was completed with a slightly lighter shade of tiny green belt wrapped around her sweater, maxi sunshade, and a mini snakeskin handbag.

The singer's outfit was put together by some of the most significant design icons in the industry, although the combination credit is solely JLo's.

Her $990 high-waisted pants were designed by Sally Lapointe and exhibited as part of the Label's R20 trunk show.

For her cashmere sweater, the businesswoman rocked another piece by Sally LaPointe, which has an exclusive online offer of $1650 on Moda Operandi.

The Le Pliage water-snake inspired miniature handbag is a unique creation by Longchamp offered for sale at SGD810 on the website.

And the actress's pair of pointed-toe, Anouk pumps, retailed at $595 on Farfetch.com, was a signature design of Jimmy Choo, and the perfect piece to complete the monochrome combination.

Like most of JLo's outfits, the look was soon to become a spectacle of study and debate by fashion experts.

Notably, fashion journalist, and editor-in-chief of Fashion Blog, Alexeenko Anastasiya gave her full take to Amomama on the look, while analyzing the nitty-gritty of every inch of the 50-year-old's costume, as well as its significance.

The fashion expert explained that the costume, with its color choice, was advantageous in cold seasons, especially when combined in a variety of textures, as JLo did.

The journalist also commended the singer for picking out satin pants to go with the fur trim cashmere, implying no one could have worn it better.

"In general," the fashion blogger concluded,

"A very successful monochrome image was obtained, with accessories in tone, and a small black and white handbag which slightly diluted this unity of colors."

As the words "gorgeous" and "stunning" kept resounding, a fan observed that the monochrome look was similar to one sported by actress, Kristen Annie Bell recently.
