The revelation came during Ziggy’s exclusive interview with PEOPLE.

In case you missed it, Ziggy, who is the son of the late reggae legend Bob Marley and Rita Marley, is married to Orly, and the duo share seven children.

During the interview, Ziggy said:

“For the holidays we usually get together, you know, we’re a big family. So usually we’ll get together because my family, my wife, is Jewish, so there’s the Jewish holidays that come up every year. We love celebrating the holidays in general too with the kids out of school and festive times, and the vibes are more festive, so we celebrate with family and friends.”

BCK Online reports that Ziggy and his family take helping people as a duty that is passed down from parents to their children.

As a result of that, the act of giving and caring runs deep in the bones of the Marleys.

So, it didn’t come as a surprise when it became public that Ziggy and his family raised $50,000 for charity through the UGG Holiday 2019 campaign.

The brand donated to two charity organizations that Ziggy holds dear.

One of the organizations is Unlimited Resources Giving Enlightenment {U.R.G.E}, which is a nonprofit organization founded by Ziggy.

According to the “Love Is My Religion” crooner’s website, the organization actively seeks communities that will benefit from the help they offer.

U.R.G.E. also aims to make lasting contributions to the lives of children in Jamaica, Africa, and throughout the world.

The other organization UGG donated to is Heart of Los Angeles {H.O.L.A}, which the son of the legendary Bob Marley occasionally collaborates with to provide under-served youth with free programs in academics, arts, and athletics.

Ziggy’s website additionally explains that, H.O.L.A. partners with the L.A.

City Recreation and Parks Department, which provides students living in poverty with a state of the art soccer field, outdoor basketball courts, and a brand new gym.
