Robin Roberts Wows in Checkered Jacket in Photo with Longtime Girlfriend Amber Laign at the Shawn Carter Foundation Gala

Robin Roberts looked stunning in a checkered outfit worn to a charity event which she attended in the company of her longtime girlfriend, who wore a black dress.

During the weekend, "Good Morning America" anchor, Robin Roberts made a fashion statement in a checkered black and white jacket worn on a white shirt with an open collar and loose black pants, as evidenced by a photo on Instagram.

The snap showed the TV host holding a silver clutch bag as she stood beside her longtime girlfriend, Amber Laign, who opted for a simple long black dress.

The women, posing side by side, held onto each other, beaming; they were at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, Hollywood, California for the Shawn Carter Foundation Gala.

Roberts captioned the photo,

"A very special weekend, taking part in @shawncartersf. We had a lot of fun and met so many wonderful people. Plus, my beloved @saints won again today."

The TV personality's followers reacted to her chic look, with one person commenting,

"Wowza. If you're not wearing that gorgeous jacket gain, I think we are the same size."

Another wrote,

"Your flawlessness (yes, I created a new word), should be a crime."

While a third wrote,

"Robin, you look amazing."

Roberts and Laign have been dating for sixteen years, and they went public with their relationship in 2013.

A year after, they made their first red carpet appearance at the GLSEN Respect Awards in honor of courageous students who make high school a safe place for members of the LGBTQ community.

That same year, Laign's mom told The Daily News that she and her husband were thrilled about their daughter dating the former ESPN host, and they wished them nothing but luck.

The couple met through mutual friends, and although they've longed embraced their sexuality, they kept it away from the public because Laign prefers to stay away from the spotlight.

The California resident is a certified massage therapist, and her work serves to ensure the spotlight is not on her. She is a specialist in deep tissue, Swedish, myofascial release, and trigger points.

Laign was a source of support for Roberts when she dealt with the blood disease, myelodysplasia syndrome, and continues to cheer her on in her broadcasting career.

The TV host started her career as a sports broadcaster before joining "Good Morning America." She got the anchor seat in 2005, and apart from stepping away to take care of her health between 2012 and 2013, she has maintained her position as a co-host.

Roberts and Laign balance each other's lives and are happily living their best lives together.
