Slick Woods from 'Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood' Reveals She Is Undergoing Chemotherapy

Model Slick Woods gained a wave of love and support after revealing she’s undergoing chemotherapy.

Woods surprised her followers on Instagram when she subtly mentioned her current state. The 23-year-old shared a photo of herself with her boyfriend, Micky Munday and a few of their friends. Judging from the pic, the group appeared to be partying with Woods sticking out her tongue.

Last year, a pregnant Woods made headlines when she went into labor while modeling at a fashion show for Rihanna’s Savage x Fenty.

However, Woods’ caption would reveal a different story. According to the bald model, the photo was a representation of “How I feel about chemotherapy.” She added, “shout out to everyone that gotta go through it” and the hashtag, #atleastimalreadybald.

Woods didn’t go into detail about the reason for her treatment. Chemotherapy is widely known to aid in shrinking cancerous cells and tumors. However, according to Madamenoire, it may also be used for the treatment of non-cancer illnesses such as those affecting the immune system (i.e lupus and rheumatoid arthritis).

Though curious fans who inquired about Woods’ condition didn’t get answers, her friends and loved ones simply showered her with love and positive vibes. Her boyfriend, Munday said, “u got this” while actress Taraji P. Henson had encouraging words to say.

“You are already on the other side of this heathy [sic] and strong like it never happened. I adore you,” she wrote. Others wished her well and gave her their full support.

Last year, a pregnant Woods made headlines when she went into labor while modeling at a fashion show for Rihanna’s Savage x Fenty. She had just walked out to the backstage after her runway stint when her water broke. Paramedics came in time to rush Woods to the hospital where she delivered her son, Saphir four weeks ahead of her scheduled date.

“A lewk, 14 hours of labor, and A king is born,” Woods wrote following her delivery. She also thanked the Fenty family for taking care of her.
