Tamar Braxton from 'Braxton Family Values' Celebrates Her First Thanksgiving with Boyfriend David Adefeso and Son Logan

Tamar Braxton's boyfriend, David Adefonso made a powerful declaration during the Thanksgiving dinner the couple hosted for his family. He also revealed what his mother thinks of Tamar.

Tamar Braxton spent Thanksgiving for the first time with her boyfriend, David Adefoso’s family and friends who arrived from Nigeria for his earlier 50th birthday bash. Thirty of them became guests to a dinner the couple hosted with Tamar’s son, Logan.

HOW THE EVENING WENT

Tamar shared images from the milestone turkey occasion including a clip of how she fixed up her home for the evening. She revealed she and a friend “cooked our faces off” in her post’s caption as she expressed her thanks for “the love of true family and true friends.

Meanwhile, David shared images of Tamar blending with his family and detailed how special that night was in his caption. He said his 80-year-old mother, his sister, brother-in-law and niece were among their guests who immediately took a liking to Tamar.

"I informed my family early on that they didn’t have a choice! They either love Tamar the way they love me and accept her the way I accept her….or. They risk losing me altogether.”

WHY THE NIGHT WAS MADE EVEN MORE SPECIAL

David recalled the first time his family met Tamar was in Nigeria and they already loved her then as Tamar loved them back. But during the Thanksgiving dinner, his mother spoke up to express how much she adored Tamar.

“During the desert, my mom stood up to speak, and she called Tamar her daughter,” David recounted.

“I wasn’t surprised: my family took to Tamar’s gorgeous simile, sincere kindness, and infectious sense of humor almost as firmly as she took to my family’s deeply Christian, conservative, African roots,” he continued.

HIS VOW TO TAMAR AND HIS FAMILY

David said that it wouldn’t have mattered if his family didn’t like her. Revealing how most African families would interfere in their children’s relationships to the detriment of the young couple, he vowed that wouldn’t happen to him and Tamar.

"I vowed that I would never put Tamar through the misery I’ve seen other couples go through with the man’s family,” he wrote.“So I informed my family early on that they didn’t have a choice! They either love Tamar the way they love me and accept her the way I accept her….or. They risk losing me altogether.”

On his birthday he also wrote a touching ode to her after she threw him what he described as his “best birthday ever.”

HIS MESSAGE FOR OTHER MEN

David insisted though that Tamar needn’t worry about his family who he believes has been won by the singer completely. He says his mother treats Tamar like her fourth daughter and Logan, who he refers to as Beans, as her grandchild. His siblings as well treat her like family.

Towards the end of his lengthy message, David welcomed Tamar to his fold. He also expressed his gratitude for the gift of Tamar and her son in his life. He then encouraged other young men men to stand up for their women. He advised,

“Once you pick her she becomes your #1 in life; and she comes before the rest of your family: before your mom, sisters, and before even you!! And that’s how to keep a happy home!”

DAVID'S MEMORABLE 50TH

Tamar must be on cloud nine these days what with David’d recent declarations of pure love for her. On his birthday he also wrote a touching ode to her after she threw him what he described as his “best birthday ever.” He said,

“Loving my @tamarbraxton brings me Joy; that Joy always keeps Hope alive....the Hope that no matter what obstacles we confront we will always confront them together; and the Hope that we will be together forever brings me Peace.”

It was David’s first birthday party, according to Tamar who made sure it was epic. She themed it “The Great Gatsby” and the night was magical.
