Fantasia's Daughter Zion Looks Just like Mom in Recent Black & White Photos

Fantasia Barrino's daughter, Zion Quari, is her mother's stunning replica in several black-and-white photos she posted to social media. Only a few months ago, the singer was fighting sadness over Zion's latest milestone.

Every child inherits physical attributes from both parents, but the older she gets, the more Zion shares a striking resemblance with her famous mom.

Last month, the 18-year-old took to Instagram with a few mirror selfies. She donned a sleeveless outfit while a matching hat concealed the top of her braids.

"All week you have been reminding me that you're about to be Legal and it only made me sad!"

"Hello from the other side," the young lady captioned her somber photos.

Fantasia was only 17 when she had her daughter and dropped out of high school. Zion's father is Brandel Shouse, the singer's abusive high-school sweetheart.

It was tough being a teenage mom, and things didn't begin to look up for Fantasia until 2004 when she became the winner of that year's "American Idol." The North Carolina native was immediately shot into the spotlight and took her daughter along for the ride.

Zion's earliest public photos were with her mother at shows and red carpet events, but she is no longer that little girl who was mommy's adorable sidekick.

In May, Zion made her mother proud by graduating high school. Fantasia gushed about the event on Instagram, sharing a photo of her daughter flanked by both parents.

In a now-deleted post, Fantasia also shared photos of Zion celebrating with her friends and reflected briefly on the past.

"Zion, you changed my life, you made all things right and at the time when most thought it was the End-for me when I became pregnant," she wrote via ILOSM. "It was really the beginning of a Beautiful Journey and now Look at 'you' look at that smile."

The Grammy winner had time for even more reflection in August when Zion turned 18. 'Tasia, as she's fondly called, confessed that she wasn't happy about her daughter hitting the milestone age.

In a lengthy Instagram post, Fantasia wrote in part:

"I can’t believe my Nugget is the Big 18th. All week you have been reminding me that you're about to be Legal and it only made me sad! Where did the time go Poo? You grew up to be such a Beautiful Young Lady."

"Having a hard time with this 18 thing," she added in another message to Zion. "Have a Blast tonight, and remember always walk with class."

Fantasia is also a mom to son Dallas, who she shares with her ex, Antwaun Cook. She has since tied the knot with businessman Kendall Taylor who reportedly also has children from previous relationships.
