The "Star Wars" star has been happily married to Marilou York for 41 years, as he proudly shared on his Instagram.
Hamill posted a collage of their photos and wrote in the caption: "In all the world, there is no heart for me like yours. In all the world, there is no love for you like mine' - Maya Angelou. 40 years and counting.... #NoMeWithoutYou."

THE COUPLE'S FIRST ENCOUNTER
The actor met his wife at a dental clinic, where he was a patient, and she was a dental hygienist, as reported by Town and Country.
It was a humble first encounter, so different from other celebrity couples who first bumped into each other at glamorous Hollywood parties.
They tied the knot in December 1978 in a simple ceremony in the backyard of their Malibu home.

PARENTS TO THREE CHILDREN
While they have had a long marriage, their early years as an unmarried couple were rocky.
They even split at one point, with Hamill even dating his "General Hospital" co-star, Anne Wyndham, in the 1970s.
The actor eventually realized that Marilou was the love of his life. They tied the knot in December 1978 in a simple ceremony in the backyard of their Malibu home.

At the time of their wedding, he was 26, and she was 23, as reported by Bored Panda.
They went on to become parents to Nathan, born in 1979; and Chelsea, born in 1988. All their children made brief cameos as resistance soldiers in "The Last Jedi."
In another "Star Wars"-related news, fans were saddened following Peter Mayhew's passing in May 2019. The actor, 74, played Chewbacca in the original "Star Wars" trilogy.
The 7-foot 2-inch actor died in his North Texas home with his family by his side. The cause of his death has not been revealed.
