The "Star Wars" star has been happily married to Marilou York for 41 years, as he proudly shared on his Instagram.

Hamill posted a collage of their photos and wrote in the caption: "In all the world, there is no heart for me like yours. In all the world, there is no love for you like mine' - Maya Angelou. 40 years and counting.... #NoMeWithoutYou."

The actor met his wife at a dental clinic, where he was a patient, and she was a dental hygienist, as reported by Town and Country.

It was a humble first encounter, so different from other celebrity couples who first bumped into each other at glamorous Hollywood parties.

They tied the knot in December 1978 in a simple ceremony in the backyard of their Malibu home.

PARENTS TO THREE CHILDREN

While they have had a long marriage, their early years as an unmarried couple were rocky.

They even split at one point, with Hamill even dating his "General Hospital" co-star, Anne Wyndham, in the 1970s.

The actor eventually realized that Marilou was the love of his life. They tied the knot in December 1978 in a simple ceremony in the backyard of their Malibu home.
