Cardi B is not known to mince or soften the blow of her words, and in a recent Vogue interview, the rapper revealed she wouldn’t hesitate to get physical with any man that cheats on her. Cardi also opened up about her marriage to Offset.

Cardi’s marriage has been subject to scrutiny right from the start, and it didn’t help when her husband, rapper Offset, allegedly cheated last year. The couple split briefly in December 2018 but were back together by the beginning of this year.

The way Cardi sees it, her decision to get back with Offset was hinged on the realization that no relationship is perfect. “Everybody has issues. I believe in forgiveness,” the Bronx rapper told the magazine.

Offset reportedly changed his phone numbers to demonstrate his repentance while Cardi insisted on a “no groupie” lifestyle

“I prayed on it. Me and my husband, we prayed on it. We had priests come to us,” she continued. “And we just came to an understanding like bro, it’s really us against the world.”

Cardi, 27, added:

“[Offset] has my back for everything, I have his back for everything, so when you cheat, you’re betraying the person that has your back the most. Why would you do that? We have come to a clear understanding. For me, monogamy is the only way. I’ll beat your [expletive] if you cheat on me.”

According to Billboard, Cardi’s cover interview came on the heels of her first-ever trip to Africa, and she managed to make history as the first rapper to grace the cover of American Vogue.

The “Press” rapper appeared on the cover alongside her 19-month-old daughter. Cardi wore a billowy red polka dot dress featuring a low-cut neckline that showed off some cleavage, with matching Jimmy Choo shoes.

In the interview, she also talked about dealing with pressure from social media, having to reconcile the fact that the same platform which brought her fame is now nearly driving her to depression.

Cardi recalled how a lot of fans felt disappointed in her for deciding to forgive Offset’s infidelity last year. “A lot of people were so mad at me; a lot of women felt disappointed in me,” she shared.

Cardi seems to be trying her best to put social media opinion behind her, as evidenced by her reaction when Offset was recently accused of cheating on her again.

Offset, who has three more children from previous relationships, claimed his social media accounts were hacked after a flirty DM allegedly sent to another woman surfaced. The “Money” hitmaker stood by her man.

Cardi and Offset, 27, were married secretly in 2017 and welcomed their daughter, Kulture, in July 2018. Per CheatSheet, their reconciliation last year was not without conditions.

Offset reportedly changed his phone numbers to demonstrate his repentance while Cardi insisted on a “no groupie” lifestyle for the Migos rapper. She also made the conscious decision to stop listening to social media gossip.
