Kimora Lee Simmons Celebrates Diddy & Kim Porter's Twin Daughters' B-Day with Touching Post
Kimora Lee Simmons continues to look out for her late friend Kim Porter's kids. The fashion designer paid tribute to Porter and Sean "Diddy" Combs' twin daughters, Jessie James and D'Lila Star, as they turned 13.
After Porter's untimely death last year, a heartbroken Simmons promised to take care of her friend's kids. The former model's death came one month before the twins' birthday, so it must have been more devastating.

This year, Jessie and D'Lila celebrated their birthday a month after the first anniversary of their mother's death, and family and friends made sure it was a good time despite the circumstances.
While the event boasted high-profile guests like Beyoncé, Jay-Z, and Mary J. Blige, Diddy made sure to spotlight some special guests
In an emotional Instagram post, Simmons, 44, paid tribute to the young ladies who just entered their teenage years. She posted a photo of the twins in matching blue dresses and another shot where they all puckered up for a selfie.

In the caption, she wrote:
"HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY @the_combs_twins!! Auntie loves you sooo much! You are beautiful, smart and sweet! So proud of you beautiful young ladies! Cheers to many many more!!"
SIMMONS' GRIEF
When Porter died of pneumonia last year, Simmons was one of the heartbroken celebrities who expressed their grief via social media. She shared several photos of the duo during Porter's lifetime and revealed how she processed the bad news.
Simmons admitted that when she heard her friend had died, the first thing she did was rush over to her house. She even took her second daughter, Aoki, along, but soon realized Porter was not coming back.
"Every room I walk into now, I think, 'ok, I will just go and get Kim.' But I see that I cannot. This is all too close and too sad," she added. "Your light was a beaming beacon for so many. You are A WHOLE MOOD!"
Porter was a longtime girlfriend to Diddy, 50, and even though the duo was not together at the time of her death, they remained a tight-knit family. The music mogul still considers her the love of his life.
DIDDY'S LONGTIME LOVE
Porter and Diddy shared three kids, son Christian, 21, and the twins. Diddy also raised Quincy Brown, 28, Porter's son from a previous relationship. With other women, the "Bad Boy" founder has a 25-year-old son named Justin, and a 13-year-old daughter, Chance.
Diddy has been trying his best to play Porter's role in their children's lives, and on December 13, he was on hand to celebrate with the twins at a star-studded bash he threw for their 13th birthday.
BIRTHDAY GALORE
According to Page Six, all the Combs children were present, as were celebrities like Naomi Campbell and Kylie Jenner. Singer Dani Leigh also reportedly performed her song "Lil Bebe" for the crowd.
The very next day, Diddy also held a 50th birthday bash at his $40million Holmby Hills mansion in Los Angeles. While the event boasted high-profile guests like Beyoncé, Jay-Z, and Mary J. Blige, Diddy made sure to spotlight some special guests: his kids.
Porter may be gone, but her family and friends are surely doing their best to raise her children in the best way. Happy birthday to the Combs twins!
