"Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Kandi Burruss and her husband Todd Tucker have made every effort to make their blended work, and the reality they have shown is that it's not always easy bringing their children together.

Taking to a segment called "Speak On It" she addresses the latest rumor surrounding her step-daughter's relocation.

In a recent episode, Kandi asked Todd's 23-year-old daughter, Kaela Tucker, to move out of her room, so it could be occupied by her new-born son, Blaze Tucker.

Fans have come after the couple and blamed them for kicking her out unjustifiably. However, Kandi sets the record about the details behind her move and says it had been planned long before the episode was filmed.

The family has recently welcomed another addition to their family and Kandi said the move was to accommodate the baby, she explained:

"Well the way our house is set up. There are three bedrooms, which were Ace, Kaela, and Riley's. Since Kaela is the oldest and she has talked about moving out eventually, I asked Kaela if she would mind if the baby took her room. So that's why."

She revealed that moving her out of the room made sense because Kaela had spoken about her aspirations to become a fashion designer in New York. Kaela has since moved out of the family home in Atlanta.

Kandi said the reason they needed that specific room was because it was the closest room, next to them and she felt that would not have made sense to put their new-born downstairs.

The latest season of the show has seen the family go through a particularly hard time as Todd struggles to bond with Kaela.

During an emotional episode, she admitted that she doesn't feel he opens up enough emotional with her.

Kandi said she tends to step back when there is conflict between Kaela and Todd, and she insisted that the decision about her move had nothing to do with recent tensions in the family.

She admits that relationships within their blended family are not always perfect, but that the family is working every day to fix their issues.
