Anne Hathaway of 'Modern Love' Shines Bright in Golden Dress at 1st Red Carpet since Giving Birth to 2nd Child

"Modern Love" star Anne Hathaway looked incredible in her golden dress as she walked her first red carpet since she welcomed her second child a year ago.

On January 12, 2020, Hathaway attended the 25th Annual Critics' Choice Awards at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California.

The acclaimed actress wore a gold sequined dress with a deep V-neck and long sleeves. She accessorized herself with diamond earrings, as shown in the photo she shared on Instagram.

"Welcome back xx," Hathaway captioned the snap, which already amassed over two million likes as of this writing.

As reported by People, the actress presented the best actor award to Joaquin Phoenix during the star-studded event.

She was one of the nominees for best actress in a limited series or movie for her work in Amazon's "Modern Love."

THE ACTRESS'S ANNOUNCEMENT

According to reports, Hathaway, who shares son Jonathan Rosebanks with her husband actor and businessman Adam Shulman, gave birth to her second child in December.

In July 2019, the actress announced via Instagram that she and Shulman were expecting their second child.

Hathaway is the recipient of multiple awards, including an Academy Award, a Primetime Emmy Award, and a Golden Globe.

To celebrate her second child on the way, Hathaway hosted a baby shower at her home in New York over the weekend of October 14. A source told E! News:

"Anne walked in and everyone yelled 'Surprise.' She looked completely shocked and put her hand over her mouth then her face. She hugged one of her friends and said 'You guys are so good!'"

As reported by Elle, the actress's last red carpet appearance was in October, when she went to the premiere of "Modern Love" in New York City.

Hathaway, who has served as a long-term advocate for the Nike Foundation to raise awareness against child marriage, married Shulman in September 2012, in Big Sur, California. The couple welcomed Jonathan Rosebanks four years later.
