Queen Elizabeth's stated that after many months of conversations and more recent discussions, a constructive and supportive way forward for her grandson and his family have been found. She said:

Continuing, The Queen thanked Meghan and Harry for their dedicated work across the country, the Commonwealth, and beyond, adding that she was impressed with how Meghan quickly became a part of the family.

She ended, saying:

"It is my whole family's hope that today's agreement allows them to start building a happy and peaceful new life."

They added that with the new agreement, they would have to step back from Royal duties, including official military appointments, and would no longer receive public funds for Royal responsibilities.

The new model would see them potentially walking away from a $88 Billion fortune.

The new arrangement will mean that the Sussexes will no longer formally represent the Queen, but will continue to uphold Her values and also maintain their private patronages and associations.

They would also no longer use their HRH title as they are no longer working members of the Royal Family. Harry and Meghan also shared their wish to repay the Sovereign Grant expenditure for the refurbishment of Frogmore Cottage.

The Cottage would remain their UK Family home. The statement, however, failed to comment on the details of Harry's and Meghan's security arrangements, due to the well-established independent processes involved.
