Vanessa Ray from 'Blue Bloods' Talks about Whether Eddie & Jamie Will Expand Their Family Soon
Vanessa Ray, who plays Officer Eddie Janko-Reagan on "Blue Bloods," teased what's to come in her character's marriage to Jamie (Will Estes) and if fans can expect children soon for the couple.
In a recent interview with HollywoodLife, the 38-year-old actress said, "They are crazy about each other, but there's a lot they have to deal with and sort out."
Ray added that she has no clue if Eddie and Jamie are going to begin a family soon. However, it's something they talk about a lot.

DIFFICULT TO FIND TIME
Eddie and Jamie fell in love when they were both patrol officers, as the actress pointed out. The pair are working very different hours since Eddie is still on the beat, and Jamie is currently a sergeant.
Set up everything together, and it may be hard for them to find time to expand the Reagan family. Ray told the outlet:
"There are days where they say, 'Yes, of course we're going to start a family.' And then there's days where she goes, 'I don't think I could give this up so casually.' It's interesting to see them play around."

STRUGGLES TO FIT IN
In Season 10 of "Blue Bloods," the couple's stories regularly focus on Eddie's struggles to fit in with the Reagan family.
According to Ray, it isn't very easy sometimes for Eddie to not get to say everything she wants since she needs to hold her tongue a lot of the time.
Some speculated that Eddie's emotional episodes in the story she imparted to Jamie was proof of pregnancy.
NO OBVIOUS HINTS
The actress, who now lives and works between Los Angeles and New York City, added Eddie doesn't relate to them and that she doesn't come from their world at all.
As reported by Pop Culture, there are no apparent hints that Eddie will be pregnant in the popular series, which is filmed on location in New York City with occasional references to nearby suburbs.
Nonetheless, the mid-season finale "Bones to Pick," which was aired in December 2019, inspired a few fans to figure out the real story.

Ray joined the Season 4 cast of the CBS police procedural drama "Blue Bloods" in 2013. She has continued her role through the show's 10th season.
The actress, who was previously married to actor Derek James Baynham, tied the knot with her boyfriend of six years, Landon Beard, in June 2015, Daily Mail reported.
