Lupita Nyong'o stunned at the 26th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards in a custom Louis Vuitton black and white sequined dress, which featured a bandeau-looking top. Her slim waist was highlighted with a black belt, and she accessorized her whole look with diamonds.
Keeping her look elegant, her glowing skin was covered in silver and pink makeup, making her look nothing short of regal.

LUPITA'S LOOK AND THE VALUES SHE UPHOLDS
According to Lupita's stylist, Micaela Erlanger, her entire look was supposed to symbolize the elegance, timelessness, and modernity that Lupita embodies and values greatly.
Her custom Louis Vuitton gown, which was encrusted in more than 32,000 sequins and beads, took more than 1,400 hours to complete and over 106 hours to cut and assemble the dress from a pattern.
LOOKING PERFECT FOR A BIG NIGHT
That night, Nyong'o was a nominee for outstanding performance by a female actor in a leading role for "Us," so she was supposed to look nothing short of perfect.
In fact, the diamonds she wore is estimated to cost a whopping $3.5 million dollars and includes a total of 90-carat diamonds from the Forevermark diamond collection. Of the entire look, her stylist said:
"We've been working on this for months, since before Thanksgiving. We really wanted to harness the elegance, and timelessness, and modernity that Lupita embodies and values."
KEEPING HER PERSONAL LIFE PRIVATE
While it's easy for fans to get in on information such as these, there are some details about her life that Nyong'o would rather keep private - her personal life.
In her interview with Vogue U.K., the "12 Years a Slave" actress shares why she keeps stories of her personal life to herself, and it's because she feels that as a celebrity, "privacy is a commodity that is hard to come by."
Being an actress takes up a lot of time, and at the end of each and every day, people are just longing to go home to their families or their loved ones. To Lupita, having that "personal space" is important in the industry, as if you don't, it becomes so isolating to be trapped in a world where there are no boundaries between work and home.
