Gosselin uploaded a photo of him and his daughter, Hannah, on Instagram. The picture shows him carrying her with all smiles in their home in Reading, Pennsylvania, with a caption "#Girldad."

The television personality posted it to honor the late basketball athlete who also lost his 13-year-old daughter Gianna in the same tragedy.

PROUD GIRL DAD

Gosselin, who was born and raised in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania as the middle child in a family of three children, felt touched by how Bryant loved his daughters when he was alive.

The hashtag "Girldad" became a social media trend after ESPN anchor Elle Duncan shared her conversation with the NBA legend before his tragic death.

The meaning behind the trend had deeply moved Gosselin. According to Duncan, she was told by Bryant that he was a proud father of girls.

GARNERED HEARTFELT REMARKS

The encounter left Duncan teary-eyed. Gosselin's photo, meanwhile, raked heartfelt comments from several Instagram users.

They were pleased to see him and daughter Hannah in a lovely picture. "Truly happy for you all!!" one fan said. "Love seeing this. This is so cute," another fan commented.

Gosselin was slowly getting into a better bond with his eight children. It wasn't a piece of cake as his relationship with his ex-wife, Kate, has yet to be fixed as they had a "turbulent relationship."

AFFECTING THEIR SHOW

According to Pop Culture, he also admitted that his last meeting with her and the rest of the children was "not good."

They shared a reality television show in TLC called "Jin and Kate Plus 8." But their relationship grew toxic, which affected their show. As reported by TV Shows Ace:

"After a toxic divorce, a serious tussle with TLC over contracts, the show renewed without Jon."

The outlet added that it's now called "Kate Plus 8" and that Gosselin just got his gag order lifted and he's not scared to discuss Kate's parenting.

Gosselin and Kate, 43, were married for a decade until they parted ways in 2009. After the pair split up, both were granted physical custody of their 14-year-old sextuplets and twins Cara and Mady.
