Shannen Doherty Fans Rally around the 'Beverly Hills, 90210' Actress after Breast Cancer Reveal
Shannen Doherty's fans rally around her with an energetic show of support and heartfelt messages following the news of her stage four cancer diagnosis.
Fans of the actress, and star of "Beverly Hills, 90210," Shannen Doherty, are heartbroken amid her cancer diagnosis. They took to Twitter with words of love and support.
Reacting to the news, one fan of the actress tweeted that it was a piece of awful news. Another fan, wrote that she is sad over the news.

IT TOOK FANS BY SURPRISE
The fan added that she is still not over the death of Luke Perry, Doherty's costar and lifelong friend from 90210, who died last June from a stroke. Another fan wrote,
"Prayer for [Doherty] [clasped hand emoji]."
The news of the actress's stage four cancer diagnosis took her fans by surprise because Doherty won her first cancer battle three years ago.
THINGS WERE GOING WELL
At the time, she underwent treatment and received a clean bill of health. With cancer in remission, the actress returned to life as usual, and even got a role on the reboot of "BH90210."
The latter failed to pay her for the damages done to her home after the 2018 LA wildfires.
Things continued going very well for Doherty until she got this new diagnosis. Just like the first time, she chose to be open with her ailment and sat down with ABC "Good Morning America" for the reveal.
IT BROUGHT BACK MEMORIES
The actress said on the show that she has been trying to digest the news as best as she can. She has moments where she asks,
"Why me? And then I go 'Well, why not me? Who else? Who else besides me deserves this?' None of us do."
Doherty also used the moment to explain that she is reliving Perry's death. The actress has been asking herself why her perfectly healthy friend had to go before her and is still trying to make sense of it.
FACING IT WITH COURAGE
The Los Angeles resident spoke out because her health issue will come out in her case against the insurance company, State Farm. The latter failed to pay her for the damages done to her home after the 2018 LA wildfires.
Born in Memphis, Tennessee, in '71, Doherty grew up with a banker father and a beautician mother. She began acting at the age of ten with an appearance in the series, "Father Murphy."
The actress went on to appear in "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" and "Heather." Her most prominent role remains as Brenda Walsh on "90210," and she also had a stint on reality TV.
Doherty is facing her cancer with great courage and faith. She hopes that everything works out, and she has a lot of positivity from family, friends, and fans.
