Andy Cohen of WWHL Reveals He Would Be against His Son Benjamin Venturing into Reality TV

While hosting a special edition of his SiriusXM live show from Radio Row, Andy Cohen, 51, shared what career he wouldn’t want his son Benjamin, 1, to get into.

Cohen revealed that he wouldn’t be too thrilled if the toddler wanted to pursue his line of work in the future. The “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen” host honestly stated:

“I can’t force him to do anything... I would probably advise him against it.”

Cohen celebrates his son’s birthday

The television and radio personality also shared that he also felt like a reality star “in some form or another.” The “Most Talkative” author confessed: “I put so much of myself out there.”

The Missouri native recently celebrated Benjamin’s first birthday on Tuesday, February 4, 2020. He paid tribute to his son by sharing a throwback photo of himself kissing the newborn’s forehead.

The Emmy Award winner’s image was taken by John Mayer. In the post’s caption, Cohen recalled being with his son a year ago in the hospital room as he wondered about their future.

The star admitted that he hadn’t known how Benjamin would affect his life and “what a lovely boy he would become.” The parent of one also thanked the surrogate who carried the little boy for him.

Cohen ended his post by wishing his son a happy birthday. When little Benjamin was born, his father shared the news on social media with a sweet post.

Who the boy is named after

The black and white post featured Cohen smiling broadly as he cradled the baby against his chest. In the post, he revealed that the little boy was named after his grandfather Ben Allen.

Andy revealed he was going to be a dad in 2018

The star broke the news that he was going to have a child on an episode of his show. During the December 2018 episode of “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen,” the television personality shared that he would become a father “in about six weeks time,” if things went according to plan.
