Trina Braxton from 'Braxton Family Values' Gushes over Her 2nd Marriage & Husband Von Scales

Trina Braxton expresses her happiness now that she’s experiencing “black love” for the first time in her life.

“Braxton Family Values” star Trina Braxton tied the knot with businessman Von Scales in December 2019, and she is on cloud nine. Now, she describes what it's like to be married to the love of her life.

GETTING ENGAGED

After meeting through a mutual friend in 2015, the pair took the time to get to know one another thoroughly and deepen their relationship. Four years later in March 2019, Scales proposed to Trina during her sister Tamar’s birthday trip.

At first, Tamar was disappointed that the engagement happened during her birthday trip, claiming that they “stole the thunder” from her. She ended up apologizing for her reaction soon after. Now, while attending an event for Oprah Winfrey Network’s “Cherish The Day,” Atlanta Black Star caught up with Braxton and asked her about married life.

ON THE BEAUTIES OF MARRIAGE

Trina first began to describe her wedding, which she said was a beautiful Winter Wonderland-themed event. Surrounded by all their close family and friends, they celebrated the beginning of a beautiful union between man and woman.

As for the most beautiful thing about being married, Trina says it’s “being with someone where you’re protected during and safe.” She says her husband Von is her friend, and they can talk about anything all day.

EXPERIENCING "BLACK LOVE" FOR THE FIRST TIME

Meanwhile, Trina also disclosed that black love is something she’s never experienced before, and it’s something she is ultimately grateful for.

"Black love, I've never had that before in my life and it's the most amazing thing in the whole entire world. He's a joy, I love him."

THEIR BEAUTIFUL WEDDING CEREMONY

Trina married Von in a gorgeous ceremony held in St. Louis, Missouri. The newlywed bride described the whole ordeal as “unpredictable and amazing,” and she was ecstatic to be marrying an “amazing man.”

Held at Windows on Washington, the joyous ceremony is set to air on “Braxton Family Values,” but thanks to the Braxton family’s updates, fans already got a sneak peek of what transpired.

Indeed, married life has been a blissful experience for Trina the second time around, and fans are hoping for her to remain happy with Von for the rest of her life.
