Rebel Wilson from 'Jojo Rabbit' Shows off Significant Weight Loss in Gold Sequined Gown at the 2020 Oscars

Rebel Wilson looked stunning at the red carpet of the Oscars revealing her apparent weight loss. The actress who presented an award that night also delighted in a one on one moment with no less than Brad Pitt.

All eyes were on a significantly slimmer Rebel who showed up at the awards night looking divine in a sparkly gold dress. The sequined gown is a custom creation by Jason Wu.

This was according to the actress who posted a photo of her OOTD and the woman who joined her for the affair. She revealed it was her best friend, Carly Steel.

OLD HOLLYWOOD GLAMOUR

Rebel used gold accessories to match her dress which had a deep V neckline. This included a clutch and a choker. She added a touch of old Hollywood by styling her blond hair to one side in romantic waves. She finished off her look with hot red lipstick.

ON HER APPARENT WEIGHT LOSS

The actress attended the Oscars as a presenter for Best Director. But at the red carpet, reporters couldn’t help but focus on her weight loss. E! Host Zanna Rossi complimented on how great she looked noting how much weight she shed.

But this didn’t sit well with fans of the actress. According to a commenter on Twitter, Zanna was out of line for highlighting the fact that Rebel only looked good because she lost weight.

“Who’s the catty blonde with the British accent on #E! who couldn’t just leave it at ‘Rebel Wilson looks gorgeous’ and had to bring weight into it?!?! #oscars,” said an irritated fan.

HER "YEAR OF HEALTH"

Rebel has been very vocal about making 2020 her "Year of Health.” Earlier in the year, she updated her fans about the progress she’s making in trying to stay fit and healthy. She told her followers on Instagram that she’s been avoiding sugar and junk food as well as taking walks.

Rebel accidentally lost weight while filming “Cats” last year. Production decided to turn up the heat in sauna fashion while filming scenes so the dancers wouldn’t pull any muscles while performing their intense routines. Rebel revealed she lost eight pounds in 4 days.

A MEMORABLE MOMENT AT THE OSCARS

But back to the Oscars, Rebel was especially thrilled to have shared a moment with no less than Brad Pitt. Ahead of the event, she joked about “Bag’sing” her seat for the Oscars by placing herself in between Brad’s and his co-star Leonardo Di Caprio’s assigned seats in the audience.

That night, she revealed she actually scored a photo op with Brad. “Told ya” she proudly wrote to caption three photos where she’s hanging out with the man who won Best Supporting Actor that night.

Rebel may have not taken home an award but she definitely went home with a pleasant memory of her brief encounter with Brad. Plus, she can also delight in knowing that many are blown away by her stunning Oscar presence.
