Robin Roberts from GMA Shares Sweet Never-Before-Seen Photo of Her Parents during Trip to South Africa

Robin Roberts gives her fans a glimpse of what she sees when she enters the house, which is a picture of her late parents enjoying one of their trips to South Africa.

Robin Roberts has been missing her parents quite a lot these days, and it might have something to do with the fact that her longtime girlfriend, Amber Laign, continues to mourn the loss of her own father.

Roberts has been sharing pictures of her late parents on Instagram, describing to her fans the type of relationship she had with both of them when they were still alive.

"My beloved parents are never far from my thoughts... their stellar examples of passion and compassion, their loving guidance, their forgiveness when I rolled my eyes as they shared their pearls of wisdom with me! I was listening... and I bet your children are too."

REMEMBERING ROBIN ROBERTS' MOM

The "GMA" host's mother, Lucimarian Tolliver Roberts, passed away at age 88 back in 2012. At the time, Roberts left her TV set early to be with her family at the time. Together, she and her sister Sally-Ann Roberts were with their mother during her last moments on Earth.

Robin Roberts is currently supporting her longtime girlfriend Amber Laign in her journey towards processing and accepting her father's death.

A GLIMPSE OF HER RELATIONSHIP WITH HER DAD

Meanwhile, Robin's dad, Colonel Lawrence E. Roberts, was a military commander, having lived on Keesler Air Force base in Biloxi, Mississippi when she was younger because of her dad's job. It was her dad's influence that inspired her to pursue her dreams of becoming a broadcaster.

“My dad saw me become the news anchor, but he passed away before I became an anchor at Good Morning America. He passed away shortly before I became one of the anchors with Diane Sawyer and Charlie Gibson. I so wanted him to see this, but the comfort I have is that I know my father was proud of me and that’s the only thing that I, or any child, could ever ask for.”

Robin Roberts is currently supporting her longtime girlfriend Amber Laign in her journey towards processing and accepting her father's death.

Amber's parents have always been supportive of Robin and Amber, and their openness has made it easier for Robin to get along with their family. In fact, the couple has always tried to spend time with the Laign family as much as they can, trying to make the most out of their time together.

Now that Mr. Laign is no longer with the family, Amber and Robin are mourning the loss of their father, one that has always been supportive, loving, and caring to both of them.
