Jessica Simpson Gets Candid about Her Kids Learning from Some of Her Mistakes
In a recent interview, Jessica Simpson revealed that she has been honest with her children about the difficult times in her life, and she was hoping this will help them avoid such situations in the future.
Simpson, 39, tied the knot with retired NFL tight end Eric Johnson in 2014, and they were blessed with three wonderful children — Maxwell, Ace, and Birdie.
"I believe in being completely open and honest and I hope they can learn from some of my mistakes," the acclaimed singer told Us Weekly on February 10 of her kids.

NO LIFE IS PERFECT
"But more importantly, learn that no life is perfect, challenges give us tools and it's learning from our mistakes that makes us stronger," Simpson added.
During the interview, she also mentioned that there are still topics in her memoir called "Open Book" that Maxwell, Ace, and Birdie should know.
But this is not the right time because, for the singer, they are not mature enough. However, in due time, she will share the whole thing with them.
INAPPROPRIATELY TOUCHED
For instance, Simpson hasn't opened up to Maxwell, Ace, and Birdie about being inappropriately touched by a family friend.
The People's Choice Award winner, who launched The Jessica Simpson Collection in 2005, struggled with alcohol addiction, according to Us Weekly.
The pop star was recently joined by her husband, Johnson, and their three offsprings during her book signing.
GET SOBER
But she's motivated to get sober after she got very intoxicated to take Maxwell and Ace trick-or-treating in 2017.
Simpson has no problem sharing several photographs of her children on social media, as reported by Closer Weekly.
Simpson has also been very open about motherhood. She once explained what it's like to raise three children.
As reported by E! News, the pop star was recently joined by her husband, Johnson, and their three offsprings during her book signing, which was held in New York City.
Simpson and Johnson first met in May 2010. Since then, the couple has been inseparable, Nicki Swift reported. In November 2010, they announced their engagement.
Simpson shot to stardom in 1999 when she was only 16. Selling over four million copies worldwide, her debut album "Sweet Kisses" was a huge commercial success.
Her famous songs include "Take My Breath Away, "These Boots Are Made for Walkin'," "I Wanna Love You Forever," and "Come On Over."
