Derek Hough's Fans Praise His Mom Mariann's Beauty as He Shares New Photo with Her on Her B-Day

Derek Hough shared an adorable picture of him and his mom, Mari Anne Hough, to mark the latter's birthday.

As it turned out, Derek wasn't the only child who followed in the family's footsteps as his sister Julianne has grown her portfolio as a well-known dancer.

The professional ballroom dancer recently shared another insight into their relationship after he uploaded a picture to celebrate his mother's birthday.

The dancer had posted a close-up image of him and his mother in a tight hold as he rocked a black suit and she wore a sleeveless lace dress. Derek's cute picture was accompanied by the caption, which read:

"Happy birthday to this beautiful human being. My mom is such a bright light in this world. Love you momma."

As expected, thousands of Derek's followers trooped into the comment section to praise Mari Anne with one person stating that she was a "charming, beautiful lady."

Another fan commented that Mari Anne looked like the star's sister, while a third person mentioned that his family had great DNA.

The "Dancing with the Stars" competitor's birthday tribute came months after E! Online reported that he and his mother shared a sweet mother-son moment in a video that showed them dancing.

ET Canada reported that the clip showed Mari Anne watching her son at his tour rehearsals for a couple of minutes before the "World of Dance" judge excitedly danced towards her and reached out for her to join him.

The pair seemed content to dance to "Do You Love Me" until the song ended, and Mari Anne can be seen clapping her hands and hugging Derek.

Derek's talent and love for dancing has been in his for as long as he can remember as Heavy shared that all four of his grandparents were dancers.

Even his parents had a shared love for dancing, and they had met when they both partook in the ballroom dancing team at Ricks College, Idaho.
