US Weekly: Jennifer Lopez Shifts Attention to Wedding Planning after Postponing Nuptials to the Summer Due to Super Bowl

With the Super Bowl in the rearview, Jennifer Lopes is ready to focus on her upcoming wedding with Alex Rodriguez, who already gave a few significant clues about their nuptials.

The Latin superstar is at the backend of a busy period having filmed her latest movie "Hustlers," and preparing for her Super Bowl Halftime performance alongside Shakira.

WHY THEY POSTPONED THE WEDDING

Because of the busy time, Jennifer and Alex postponed their wedding, but now, she can give her upcoming nuptials the deserved attention, as a source told Us Weekly:

"After postponing it because of work commitments, she is finally ready to shift her focus to wedding planning and making that a top priority.”

ALEX SLIPPED SOME WEDDING DETAILS

As for the big day, Alex previously told "Good Morning America" that even though he knows what he will be wearing, he doesn't know when the ceremony will take place, except that its "going to be a long flight" to get there.

Since he believes in "the more, the merrier," Alex said that their exes would be invited as well. According to the source, Jennifer and Alex make each other "incredibly happy," and added:

“They couldn’t imagine life without one another in it and can’t wait to spend the rest of their lives together.”

MEANT FOR EACH OTHER

Jennifer mirrored those words during her Video Vanguard Award acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards back in August 2018, when she called Alex her "twin soul."

She gushed about them being "mirror images" of each other, and how much "sweeter and better" her life is with Alex in it. Appreciative of Alex's inspiration, Jennifer said that he made her realize that not even the sky is the limit.

THEY CAN'T WAIT TO MAKE IT OFFICIAL

According to the source, the couple is also eager to "cement" their families together, as they have both "always wanted a big family."

After their wedding, Alex and Jennifer will officially be at the head of their own big blended family. As Alex shares two children, Natasha and Ella, with his ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis, while Jennifer is mom to twins Maximillian and Emme with her ex-husband Marc Anthony.

NO STOPPING JENNIFER

Recently, Jennifer topped Billboard's Dance Club Songs chart for the eighteenth time with her song "Baila Conmigo."

No small feat, the achievement put her sixth on the leaderboard of artists with the most chart-topping hits since the chart's inception in 1976.

At the top of the leaderboard is Madonna with a whopping 50 songs, followed by Rihanna with 33, Beyonce with 22, twenty songs for Janet Jackson, and just ahead of Jennifer with 19 songs, is Katy Perry.

WHATEVER IT COSTS

According to other sources, Jennifer Lopez and Alex won't be holding back on their wedding expenses either, and plan to spend around $3 million on their big day.

With "no expense being spared," the happy couple reportedly already rented a luxe mega-yacht for the wedding ceremony just off the coast of Miami.
