Vanna White's 'Wheel of Fortune' Fans Respond Positively to Her 'CBS Sunday Morning' Interview

At the beginning of the month, a profile on Vanna White was done by “CBS Sunday Morning.” Her “Wheel of Fortune” fans have since reacted to the interview sharing their love for the long-term co-host.

“CBS Sunday Morning’s” Mo Rocca recently did a profile on White, 63. One of the things she discussed was hosting the “Wheel of Fortune” during co-host, Pat Sajak’s absence.

Sajak also featured in the profile where he addressed how White performed his game show duties while he was gone. The longtime host proudly noted: "The fact that she did it speaks volumes about her.”

Sajak praises White for hosting show

Sajak, 73, stated that it would have been “very easy” for the star to just decline the role just by saying: “'I'm sorry, this is not what I do.'" The television personality added: "But the audience was rooting for her and almost proud to see her up there."

Several fans responded to the profile positively with a number of them noting how well White had done at hosting the game show. Others shared their love for the co-star.

Fans impressed by Vanna’s profile

While many more expressed how much they enjoyed “Wheel of Fortune” and seeing White and Sajak. In the profile, Rocca asked White if she would be keen on hosting in Sajak’s place again.

White responded by joking that it was not on the "top of my list." She, however, confessed that she’d “loved doing it, but I was so nervous."

Sajak’s emergency surgery

The long-term co-host speculated that perhaps having a chance to host a couple more times would make her “feel better about it but I'm my worst critic." White led the game show after Sajak had to undergo emergency surgery for a blocked intestine.

Vanna’s Wheel of Fortune episodes

She hosted three weeks' worth of episodes in Sajak’s absence. The first two episodes aired in December last year and the last one was in January 2020.

Pat’s daughter co-hosted

The episode that aired this year featured Sajak's daughter Maggie. She got to stand in for White as the special guest co-host.

The profile on White also gave a behind-the-scenes look into her life and she received testimonies from loved ones about her character.
